Amy Jo Edwards, 57, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014, in Phoenix, Arizona where she lived. She had been progressively sick and endured a short hospital stay prior to passing. She worked as a government auditor and continued working until just prior to her hospitalization.
Amy was a native of Huntsville, Alabama where she graduated from Madison Academy High School and the University of Alabama, Huntsville. She previously attended Madison Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nina Lois Strickland and William Lester Strickland.
She is survived by two children, Lily Edwards of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Bill Edwards, currently a student in Beijing, China; brother, William Strickland of Hazel Green; one aunt; and many cousins.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Greenhill-Ezzell Cemetery in Bellgreen, Alabama.
