Jake was just the greatest guy, and he was loved and well respected by the Covington High School students, faculty, and administration during his nine year tenure as teacher, coach, and friend. It was with great sadness that we received the news of his tragic and untimely passing. May the love of God, family, and friends sustain you during this difficult time.

Prayers and blessings,
Linda Baker Yates, Retired CHS Librarian

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Jake. I’m sorry I didn’t get to know him personally. It’s obvious he made an impact on so many young lives. That will continue to be felt as these young people mature. They will never forget their special coach. Kim, I’m glad for the happy years you had together. You told me years ago, you knew right away “he was the one”. Sending love to you and all your family.
