Johnnie Ruth Marlar, 75, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, October 18, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Marlar was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Iuka Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #126. She was formerly employed at the Iuka Shirt Factory and AmeriCheck in Iuka. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 20, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Harold Marlar of Iuka; three sons, Lawayne Puckett of Iuka, and Harold Wesley Marlar and John Alfred Marlar, both of Kenosha, WI; two daughters, Kathy Hubbard of Iuka, and Lavon Pilger of Kenosha, WI; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cullen and Ruby Holder Timbes, and a brother, Bobby Timbes.
