William Garvin Bassham, age 64, of Sheffield, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. Garvin retired from Wise Alloys in 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Lillie Mae Bassham. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Becky Love-Bassham; son, William C. Christopher Bassham and wife, Tricia Burcham Bassham; grandchildren, Ashley Frederick and husband, Steven, Jeff Benson and wife, Brianna, Bailey Bassham, Brittney-Jo Bassham, Jazmyn Jade Bassham, and Caleb Grasham; wonderful great-grandchild, James Carter Jackson; brother, Johnny Nelson Basham; and brother-in-law, David Love and family. A celebration of Garvin’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 21, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at his home at 1612 Hillcrest Avenue in Sheffield.
