Glenda (Wylie) Alverson – Lester age 63, of Florence, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, October 19th from 1:30 pm 3:30 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Sonny Owens officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Tommy McGill, Wade Strait, Jerry McGee, Brian Campbell, Kim Blankenship, and Doug Littrell. She was a member of the Church of Christ and worked with law offices throughout the Shoals and most recently with Joe Yates as a Paralegal. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Catherine Wylie. Survivors are her husband, Dendy Lester; son, Eric Alverson (Elif); siblings, Gary Wylie, Leslie Wylie, Jeff Wylie, and Susie Wylie Strait; grandchildren, Serkan and Hakan Alverson.
