Lum “L.B.” Hallman – Obituary

lumL.B. Hallman, 75, Haleyville, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Haleyville Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Hallman loved his family and enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When able, he was very active in church at Hawkins Memorial Church.

The visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Donnie Turner. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Annie Hallman; daughter, Paula Marie Hallman; and son, L.B. Hallman, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha Hallman; children, Benjie Hallman (wife, Judy), Gary Hallman (wife, Debby), Pam Self (husband, Donald), Wendy Milligan (husband, Steve); 9 grandchildren, Darryl Hallman (wife, Carol), BJ Hallman (wife, Shae), Tonya Pate (husband, Michael), Tyler Hallman (wife, Emma Ann), Darla Roberts (husband, John), Tiffany Self, Amanda Milligan, Sharon Darwin (husband, Donald), Hayden Milligan; 8 great-grandchildren, Austin & Angela Hallman, Kylie Hallman, Ben Hess, Lily & Tanner Pate, Parker Hallman, Kyle Perez; sister, Avvis Motes; brothers, Clovis Hallman, O’Neal Hallman, Alton Hallman, Ollie “Verdo” Hallman; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The pallbearers will be Darryl Hallman, BJ Hallman, Hayden Milligan, Tyler Hallman, Steve Milligan, and Donald Self.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Reddy and his staff, Comfort Care Hospice, and the Haleyville Health & Rehabilitation Center for the love and care shown towards our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hawkins Memorial Church, 191 Railroad Street, Phil Campbell, AL 35581.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
