Ethel Whorton Treece, 98, of Hazel Green passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at her residence. She was a member of Huntsville Holiness Church. Mrs. Treece was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Howard Treece, 2 sons, James Treece, Leo Treece, 3 grandchildren, Todd Treece, Tina Hyatt and Carter Slone, her parents Alvie and Ellen Stapler Whorton and 4 sisters and 8 brothers.
She is survived by four daughters, Viola Harris, Marie Hyatt, Bonnie Campbell (Wallace) and Emma Anderson (Gaylon); one son Allen Treece (Kim) 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral will be Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 1:00pm at Huntsville Holiness Church with Rev. Junior Stephens, Rev. Jack Kelly and Bro. Rick Hyatt. Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery.
