James Ray Wilds was born July 12, 1941 in Michie, TN the son of the late Luther and Rosie Bell Black Wilds.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betsy” Holtz on July 9, 1960.

In 2008, Mr. Wilds, retired from being a machinist. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and Magnolia Antique Car Club in Corinth, MS. He enjoyed camping, gardening, yard work, and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Mr. Wilds departed this life on October 9, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 2 Months, 27 Days. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betsy Wilds of Selmer, TN; a son, Jim Wilds and wife Melissa of Michie, TN; a daughter, Tina Holt and wife Jim of Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Neal Wilds and wife Jane of Cleveland, OH; two sisters, Mary Bagley of Counce, TN, Phyllis Carpenter and husband Ernest of Arkansas; seven grandchildren, April Cleary, Lucas Wilds, Brad Holt, Joshua Wilds, Daniel Wilds, Katelyn Holt, Cameron Holt; five great grandchildren, Kennedy and Carter Cleary, Kinsley Montgomery, Davie Anne and Nora Kate Wilds; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilds was preceded in death by a brother, Dennie Black; two sisters, Ermal Rorie, Vonnie Villanueva.
