Opal Arizona Clemons McBride, age 87, of Tuscumbia, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral will be Thursday, October 9, at noon at the First Baptist Church of Sheffield, with Brother Keith Prince officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her children, Glenda Wilbanks and Gary McBride, and her parents, Maston and Mamie Clemons. Survivors include her children; Teresa Hamm (Greg), Wayne McBride (Susan), Sharon Jo McBride, and David McBride (Dana); a sister, Alpha Carden; fifteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. McBride was a loving and devoted mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
