Peter L. Akers Jr., 86, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2014. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Greenview Cemetery. He was the husband of Midge Akers.
