Timothy Howell “Hal” Kaucher, of Florence, Alabama, formerly of Cullman, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Kaucher was born Feb. 19, 1973, in Birmingham to Donald Earl Kaucher and Sue Gough Kaucher. Hal served 14 years as organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of West Point High School Marching Band. He was employed in the food industry for 25 years. The last 13 years as general manager of Applebees in Florence.
Mr. Kaucher was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kaucher, and a niece, Angela Kaucher. He is survived by his mother, Sue Kaucher; three brothers, Scott, Mark and Michael, all of Cullman; nieces, Mary Ann (Vicent) Weissend and Kylie Kaucher; nephews, Tristin Cornelius and Noah Weissend, all of Hanceville; aunt, Carol Olt; and cousin, Travis Olt, of Irving, Texas; special friend, Anthony Montgomery, of Florence, Alabama.
The family will receive friends at Sacred Heart Church, Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, from 6 p.m., with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Patrick Egan, O.S.B., as celebrand.
Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, friends can make donations to the Sacred Heart Church Organ Fund.
