She was born June 22, 1934 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Millard and Myrtle Cossey White.
On July 6, 1964, she was united in marriage to Jack Hale Smith.
Mrs. Smith worked at Brown Shoe Company for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Hale Smith; a son, Sammy Joe Hutton and his wife Patricia of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Wolfe and her husband Brandon and Timothy Hutton; one great grandchild, Bailey Wolfe.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eldridge White and one sister Christine Cox.
