Thelma Grace Hornbuckle, 81, of Toney passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Hornbuckle was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Leo “Bill” Hornbuckle; one step-son: Harold Glen Hornbuckle and one grandson: Zachary Nendel. Thelma was the first female patrol officer for the Huntsville Police Department. Survivors include her husband: Elmer Henry; two sons: Gary Hornbuckle and Guile Hornbuckle and wife Monica; sister: Ruby Kutzer; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
