Evelyn Bruce King Deason was born March 22, 1927. She suffered a severe stroke and passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, with many family members at her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward King; two brothers, Harold Wayne King and Carl Edward King; one daughter, Catherine Diane Deason Stocks; a kitten, grandson, Eric Williams.
Brucie Mae was a Christian woman who loved the Lord and was loved by all. She was blessed to have so many extended cherished family members who acknowledged her as their grandmother.
Brucie is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Jamie Deason; her children, Harold Wayne (Bonnie) Deason, William Worthington (Christeen) Deason, Deborah Ann Deason (Roger) Williams and Melissa Deason (Michael) Speck; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She is missed.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. today at Moss-Service Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be two hours before service today.
Burial will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
