Mrs. Bonnie Irvin, age 54 of Sulligent, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 am from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Robert Stamps and Bro. Mark Gallops will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8pm.
She was born as Bonnie Smith on April 17, 1960 in Amory, MS to the late Alfred Smith and Agnes McKay. Bonnie grew up in Sulligent and attended Sulligent High School. She met and married the love of her life, Dwight Irvin. Together, they had three sons Michael, Chad and Randy. Bonnie was a giving soul and always taking care of others. For many years she worked at McCoy Manufacturing and as a CNA at Sunset Manor Nursing Home. Most recently, she owned and operated D & B Designs Florist and Gifts. She was a church member and attended Mulberry Springs Baptist Church in Sulligent. Bonnie loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time she played in a softball league.
