Funeral for Mary Vernell Bradford Parker, 74, of Mount Hope will be Friday, September 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Marshall Lackey and Gary Parker officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation wlll be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parker, who died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at her residence, was born October 30, 1939, in Lawrence County to Paul Sutton and Beatrice Holland Sutton. She retired from Monsanto in shipping/receiving. She was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Glenn Bradford; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Parker; one son, Gary Bradford and Jan of Decatur; one daughter, Malissa Martin and Steve of Mount Hope; three stepsons, Larry Parker of Town Creek, Gary Parker of Moulton and Steven Parker of Courtland; three brothers, Wayne Sutton of Mount Hope, Raymon Sutton of Russellville and Truman Sutton of Leighton; two sisters, Paulette Ramsey of Mount Hope and Karen Mullins of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Jessica Coan and Keith of Hatton, Misty Martin and Mandy Blankenship and Timmy, all of Mount Hope, and Drew Bradford of Decatur; and two great-grandchildren, Saydee Coan of Hatton and Jase Blankenship of Mount Hope.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
