David Reed, 69, a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at his residence from an extended illness. David was a retired mechanic; he formerly worked for Trimac Trucking Company and E.A. Nelson. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 from 1 – 2 p.m. in Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Dennis Hanvey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
David is survived by his wife, Betty Heupel Reed; sons, Michael and Bill Reed; daughter, Tina Walker all of Florence; grandchildren, Alicia and Josh Walker, Jon and Allison Reed; one great-grandchild; brother, Hershel Reed of Amelia Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Chris Heupel, Ricky Heupel, Jason Heupel, George Wade, Tommy Varnell, and Paul Reed.
