Rasa Kulpa Garrison, 55, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. Rasa, mother of three, Brooks, Nathan and Ivy, was a caring and supportive wife. Whether she was substitute teaching at the local schools or carting kids around to swim meets and soccer games, she touched those around her with her sarcasm and quick wit. Her life was fraught with difficulties, but she taught us, her kids, how to be strong when faced with adversary, how to use wit and humor to tackle all of life’s obstacles, and how family will always be there as a source of comfort. We will miss her more than words can describe, but we are forever grateful for the time we had with her.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky Garrison; sons, Brooks R. Garrison and Nathan L. Garrison; daughter, Ivy M. Garrison; mother, Rimgaile Ona Surdukevicius Kulpa; brother, Vygantas Petras Kulpa; and sisters, Dalia Kulpa Cruse, Raminta Kulpa Barnhart and Vyta Kulpa Oliver.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. No services are planned.
