Funeral services for Peggy Ernestine Mann, age 82, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her husband of 55 years Ralph Mann who passed away in 2005. Mrs. Mann passed away Saturday at St. Theresa Hospice in Kenner, LA.
Born in Kelso, Mrs. Mann grew up in Boonshill community and was the daughter of the late William Ernest and Tommie Taylor Jobe. She was the bookkeeper for the Fayetteville City School System, founder of the Fabulous Fifties Show in 1987 and a lon gtime member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, where she, along with her husband Ralph, taught Sunday school classes.
Survivors include two sons Tim Mann and wife Cindy of Luling, LA, Brian Mann and wife Karen of Richmond, VA, grandchildren Heather LeBlanc and Shannon Pitchford of Luling, LA, Carrie Miller of Los Angeles, CA and Allison Mann of Phoenix, AZ, great grandchildren Ryan, Brandon, and Garielle LeBlanc, Madison and Andrew Pitchford. Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen Pyron and Polly Campbell.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5 – 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
