Vera Ethel Grimes, age 90, passed away September 3, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Vera was born in Wayne County Tennessee and was a member of Central Baptist Church, Florence.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 11 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Tommy Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her parents, Newt and Cynthia Gallien; her loving husband of 64 years, Robert Grimes; infant sister, Era Gallien; son-in-law, Jimmy Worsham.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Worsham; granddaughter, Joni Worsham (Zane Duncan); great-granddaughter, Molly Brown (DJ Moore); great-great-granddaughter, Whitley Blaise Moore; sister, Verna Dicus; brother, Earl Gallien; nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Gallien, Justin Gallien, Bree Gallien, Jim Terry, Randall Wilson, and DJ Moore.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Ricky Irons for many years of care and to AlaCare Hospice, especially Shannon, Donna, Teresa, Jill, Catrina, Rod, Ellen and Becky.
