Mrs. Helen R. Waldon, 83, of Noblitt St. Albertville, Alabama, died Aug. 27, 2014 at Albertville Nursing Home.
Services will be Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, eleven o’clock a.m. at McRae Chapel with Bro. James Jones, Bro. George Garner and Bro. Gary Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Douglas Cemetery. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6 – 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Waldon was born in Alabama on Feb. 3, 1931 to Olie & Annie Mae Simmons Rhodes. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Waldon is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Ricky & Lauryn Waldon of Albertville, Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Ann Henderson, Oliva & Dale Bryant and Juanita & Tommy Jarrell all of Albertville, Telley & Gary McClendon and Cathy & Ricky Johnson all of Boaz, 13 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren, Brothers: Jim Rhodes of Prattville and Ovis Rhodes of Jemison, Sister: Geneva Broaduss of Albertville. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: Jessie Roy Waldon and Grandson: Jimmy Collins.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Johnny Lindsey, DeWayne Lindsey, Jason McClendon, Steven Waldon, Steven Nickels and Chris Cornelius.
