Reverend Donald H. Crumpton, 77, formerly of Haleyville, died August 26, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 19, 1937, in Haleyville. He was preceded in death by his parents, YC and Lois Taylor Crumpton. He pastored various area churches for over 40 years and retired from General Motors in Athens.
Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faye; three children, Tony of Phoenix, Arizona, Kim (Darrell) Jones of Moulton and Becky Smith of Moulton; two granddaughters, Erin Waits and Audrey Smith; three grandsons, Hunter (Charity) Smith, Andrew Smith and Benjamin Waits; two sisters, Linda Swann and Gina (Kenny) Clay; four brothers, Arnold (Joyce), Ronald (Freda), Steve and Richard (Dianne) Crumpton. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, August 28, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, with Dr. Sherman Kimbrough and Dr. Joe Holmes, co-officiating, and special music provided by Bo Shedd. Burial will follow in Littleville Cemetery, Needmore. Nephews will be pallbearers.
