Michael Paul Grissom, age 31, of Muscle Shoals, died Sunday, August 24, 2014. His family will receive friends, Friday, 10:30-1:30p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Shane Swinney and Ronnie Poag officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Michael was a loving husband and father to his babies and a diehard Alabama fan. He was a member of Electrical Local #558. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W. C. and Carole Ann Grissom, and William E. Hayes.
He is survived by his wife Farrah Southern Grissom, parents; Bill and Lily Mae Hayes Grissom; son, Nicholas Bryant “Nick Nick” Grissom; daughter, Kamryn Alivia “Baby Girl” Grissom; loving brother, Cullen Grissom; grandmother, Mary E. Hayes; mother and father-in law, Farrell and Emily Southern, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins, very best friend, Alec Southern and very special nieces; Emma Southern Livi Jo Boston, Audrey Southern and nephew Carter Southern.
Pallbearers are Alec “Worm” Southern, Joseph “Joey” Garner, Peter “Pete” Branscomb, Tyler Poag, Jeremy Wilson and Brad Johnson.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Michael Paul Grissom Memorial Fund at any First Metro Bank.
