R. C. Taylor, 96, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Courtyards Nursing Home in Fulton. He was born April 15, 1918 to the late Will and Salvia Magnolia Gann Taylor. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, especially for catfish.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Friday August 29, 2014 at Senter Funeral Home, with Bro. Shane Ray officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Senter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his Son, Robert C. (Charlene) Taylor Jr. of Sulligent, AL, Daughters: Melba (Ed) Lewis of Marion, IL, Dovie (Billy) Wood of Fulton, Frances (Garry) Kent of Tremont, Virginia Johnson of Gulf Shores, AL, Alice (J.D.) Harlow of Mooreville, Jeanette Griffin of Fulton, and Donna (Mack) Fleming of Fulton, 37 Grandchildren, Many Great and Great, Great Grandchildren, and also a Sister, Christine Gentry of Fulton.
Preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Susie Mae Taylor, several brothers and sisters and 2 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Thompson, Ben Wilemon, Dewayne Johnson, Mike Reeves, Ronald Taylor, Grant Lee, and Jason Wilemon.
Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 pm tonight, Thursday, Aug. 28, at Senter Funeral Home.
