MUSCLE SHOALS – Often times police reports are dry; static; matter-of-fact. Just now, Monday, The Muscle Shoals Police Department released to the public the actual report of last Thursday’s intense effort by numerous agencies to secure the scene at Arbor Village Apartments. A woman there was shot by her brother for whom she was trying to get some mental health aid. She survived the gunshot, but her brother,ย Reagan Lee Jones, 35, Apt. 1203, Arbor Village Apartments did not. It is suspected that he was killed by a Florence Police Department SWAT Team member, apparently as Jones was laying down heavy fire from a military-style weapon toward police from inside his apartment. The formal results of the shooting have not been as-yet released.
