Elmer “Bud” Myrick, 91, of Sheffield, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014. Visitation will be Monday, 10-11 a.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Doris Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
He was a native of Colbert County, living in Sheffield most of his life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Foust Myrick; parents, Pat (Burnett) and Lou Ella Myrick; brothers, Walter, Dock, Bill, Claude and Bobby (Sparky); sisters, Leona Griggs, Mildred Landers, Annie Brown, Algie Hairrell, Velma Barnes and Helen Thorpe.
