Wayne Hamilton Gladden, SR., departed this life on Friday, and he was 79 years old.
He leaves his wife Valerie and four sons, Wayne Jr., Scott (Lesley), Craig, and Stephen, and sisters Carole Rothstein, and Barbara (John) Mercer.
Mr. Gladden was born in Washington, D.C. to Leslie and Dorothy Gladden. He was an Air Force Veteran and after his retirement he worked for Sperry-Secor and the Boeing Corporation. Wayne and Valerie retired to Florida in 1994 to build Wayne’s dream house but returned to their beloved Huntsville in 1998.
The family will have a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Wayne had many friends in the model aircraft community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Fly high, Wayne, you deserve it.
