The Funeral Service for Joyce Menefee Richardson, 86, of Athens will be Sunday, August 17, 2014, at 3 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Wayne Kyrkendall officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at McConnell Funeral Home.
She will be buried in Copeland Cemetery.
Mrs. Richardson passed away Friday, August 15, 2014, at her residence.
She was born May 6, 1928, in Limestone County, to Russell and Laura Mae Menefee.
She always worked in sales; she was retired from Belk and Cracker Barrel.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her two sons, Joe Richardson and Mark Richardson; one daughter, Wanda Sims; two sisters, Jane Ola Hinkle and Peggy Griffin; five grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Michelle Johnson Ezell, Byron Richardson, Heather Webb and Melinda Sweeny; eight great grandchildren, Sage and Jazzy Johnson, Belle Richardson, Miranda and Ian Ezell, Claire and Luke Webb, Josie and Hunter Sweeny.
Pallbearers will be Russ Griffin, Wesley Legg, John Harris, Michael Johnson, Barry Ezell, Don Turner, Daryl Turner, Byron Richardson.
