Funeral Services for Virgil Raymon Laney, age 78 of Cullman, will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating, with interment in Blair Congregational Methodist Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Laney passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. He was born December 2, 1935 to parents, Henry O. and Emmer Barnett Laney. Virgil was known for his quiet and kind nature. He lived life to the fullest, surrounded by his greatest loves of family, fishing, and canine pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dale Sellers Laney; Three Sons, Greg Laney, Jeff (Kay) Laney, and Jody (Joy) Laney; Six Grandchildren, Kristi (Buck) Ballew, Heath (Tomesha) Laney, Robbie (Rebecca) Laney, Kyle (Lacy) Laney, Brandon Laney, and Drew Laney; Six Great-Grandchildren, Jacob and Cole Ballew, Noah Laney, Taylor and Avery Laney, and Casey Laney. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm at the funeral home.
