Jesse Lawrence Hargett, age 78, of Cherokee, lost his long battle with cancer, Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014. His graveside service will be held in Barton Cemetery, today at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Hargett was a Colbert County native and was retired from Laroch Industries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Warhurst Hargett.
He is survived by his brothers, John Edward Hargett, Lowry Lee Hargett, and Grady Alton Hargett, and sister, Joyce Marie Hargett Carson.
Pallbearers are James Waldrep, Kyle Hopson, Matt Waldrep, Jimmy Myrick, Bobby McMurtrey, and Troy Hayes.
Mr. Hargett’s family expresses special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the loving care given our brother.
