Memorial service for Billy Earl Lovett, 73, of Moulton will be today, August 8, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Copeland and Dr. Tim Lovett officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Mr. Lovett, who died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at his residence, was born June 26, 1941, in Lawrence County to John Quinton Lovett and Eunice Tanksley Lovett. He retired as the manager for Standard Furniture Company after 44 years and was a Moulton City Council member for four terms. He was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. Mr. Lovett was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edward Lovett; and two sisters, Earline Webb and Allene Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Givens Lovett; one son, Tim Lovett and Penny of Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Denise Lovett and Amy Heflin and Mark, both of Moulton; four grandchildren, John Lovett and Jessica of Tuscaloosa, Blake Lovett, Abby Heflin and Julie Heflin, all of Moulton; and one great-grandson, Mason Lovett.
Pallbearers will be family.
