TUSCUMBIA-The Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation (CCHLF) will meet Sunday, August 17, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at the Helen Keller Library Conference Room, 511 Main St., in Tuscumbia.
The program speakers will be Annie and Robert Perry.Annie, a CCHLF member; Tennessee Valley Historical Society (TVHS); DAR; Alabama Folk-Life Community Scholar; Events Coordinator for Walk of Life & Colbert Reunion; Chairman of Alabama Chapter of Natchez Trace Pkwy Association (NTPA) will be speaking about the upcoming 10th annual Walk of Life from Tuscumbia Landing in Sheffield to Tuscumbia Spring Park.
Robert, Chairman of Sheffield Port Authority, Chickasaw Hall of Fame, Published writer and TVHS Board of Directors member will give brief personal comments on the Walk of Life and update future plans for Tuscumbia Landing.
The meeting is free to the public. Refreshments will be served at the meeting’s conclusion.
