Shirley Boyd Ford, age 79, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014. The graveside funeral service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, Decatur, on Thursday, August 7, at 3:30 p.m.
Mrs. Ford was born in Decatur, Alabama, to the late Erskine and Mary Simmons Boyd, on January 14, 1935. She was a local artist and designer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ford is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy, and daughter, Gina.
Survivors include daughters, Shara Anita Ford and Anna Leah Ford; grandchildren Johnie Basham, Brandon Howard, Lucyleigh Howard, Lilly Howard-Bass, and Jacob Ford; and seven great grandchildren
