Julia Magdalene Palladino – Obituary

Julia Magdalene Palladino, 89, of Decatur died peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Mrs. Palladino was a member of the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church in Decatur for 61 years. She was a member of the Burse Club, the 50 Plus Club, the Altar Sodality and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. Mrs. Palladino was volunteer head of the senior exercise class at T.C. Almon Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patsy George “Pat” Palladino; three children, Charles Palladino, Michael Palladino and Mary Palladino and nine siblings. 

She is survived by her children, Thomas(Teresa) Palladino of Birmingham, Jean (Gene) Bazzel of Decatur, Robert ‘Bobby” (Jenny) Palladino and Patricia (Tom) Hutchison of Antioch, TN; two sisters, Sister Leona Kutsko of Brazil and Sister Rosemarie Kutsko of Buffalo, NY; grandsons, 

David and Rev. Kevin Bazzel, Billy Kennedy, Thomas (Jr.), Steven and Anthony Palladino and 

Michael Scott Morris; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be offered today, August 1, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Kevin Bazzel officiating. The family will gather with friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Valley.
