Funeral service for Frances Virginia Motley, 89, of Decatur will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Janet Nabors officiating with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Motley who passed away July 26, 2014, was born June 4, 1925, in Sumter, S.C. to David F. Cooper and Elsie V. Cooper. Mrs. Motley, a homemaker, was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lucian G. Motley; and brother, Billy Cooper.
Survivors include son, David (Shelia) Motley; daughter, Sherri Motley Barrett; grandchildren, Jeremy (Allison Posey) Barrett, Dennis (Shawn) Alvarez, Zachary (Danielle) Motley, Natalie (Michael) Brady; stepgrandchild, Brad Varner; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Alvarez, Michael Brady, Richard Meikus, Jeremy Barrett, Chase Barrett and Zachary Motley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Varner and William Moore.
