John Melvin Barry, 66, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Nevada to Alfred and Christina McBride Barry. He was retired from Franklin County Landfill after 20 years. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Vina First Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Ledbetter and Bro. Ray Kirk officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Linda Barry of Vina, Alabama; his father, Alfred Barry of Reno, Nevada; four daughters, Christina Manning, Jennifer Mays (Mike), Carol Childers (Phillip) and Cindy Emerson (Mark); ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother-Jack Barry (Michelle) of Reno, Nevada; and one sister-in-law-Joyce Allen.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 5-6 p.m. at Vina First Baptist Church
