Kenneth Troy Pittman, 55, of Danville passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at his residence. Troy was retired from Decatur Fire and Rescue, where he served for 26 years as a firefighter, driver/engineer. He was devoted to his family and to his brothers and sisters at Decatur Fire and Rescue. Troy was
preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Tate Pittman.
Troy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bonita Pittman; two sons, Bradley Pittman and Tristan Bishop; son-in-law, Jeffery Russell; three daughters, Leslie Russell, Brandy Mann and Marissa Howle; three brothers, Steve, Kelly and Lamar Pittman; three sisters, Rebecca Warden, Rita Pittman and Sheila Couch; eight grandchildren, Nevaeh, Tommy, Melissa, Nolan, Garrett, Taya, Kenneth and Troy and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Hal Dean Eddy officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be retired and present firefighters from Decatur Fire and Rescue.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Brothers For Life/Decatur Fire and Rescue.
