FLORENCE – The Local Saints, a new band from our little slice of Music Heaven, Muscle Shoals had a big Friday night. It was their Album Release Show. The band, composed of Justin Holder, Rob McFarlane, Jamie McFarlane, Chad Burdine, & Zach Walton, has been rehearsing like crazy over at Cypress Moon Studios for the big night. And so, Friday finally came along, and the guys held a small release party upstairs at On The Rocks.
We at the Quad-Cities Daily keep our ‘radar’ on for a party. True to form, we found the release party up at the Second Floor bar. Halley Phillips and Jerry Phillips were there. The album was cut at Sam Phillips Studio in Memphis and was produced by Halley. Seriously, it seemed that everybody who is connected with the music community here in The Shoals circled through to congratulate the band. Even Gubernatorial candidate, Parker Griffith made his way up to congratulate the band that the Phillips’ for their effort.
