Jimmy Parker Saint, age 74, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at ECM Hospital.
The visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2014, from noon-2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Brother Billy Myrick and Brother Keith Prince officiating. Interment will be in Tharptown Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Glenna Saint; a sister, Jeanette Gandy; brother, Milton Saint; step-grandson, Romie Grigsby.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy B. Saint; children, Vicki Grigsby and husband, David, Angie Burcham and husband, David, Brant Llewellyn and wife, Erica, Justin Llewellyn and wife, Ashlie, and Alison Herndon; brother, Burns “Buckshot” Saint and wife, Ann; grandchildren, Justin Medley, Bethany King, Ashley Grimes, Christy Gist, Matt Grigsby, Austin Jordan, Adison Burns, Brodie, Maddox and Parker Llewellyn, and Mattilyn Herndon; 13 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons, grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be former teammates, Hank Thompson, Satch Jones and Pete Hill. Serving also will be Robert Irby, Howard Beale and Mark Aldridge.
Jimmy will be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humor and his love of sports and his work.
Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
