Funeral service for Ruth Townsend Moore, 90, will be Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Patsy Carlberg officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Forrest Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moore died on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born March 9, 1924, in Morgan County to David Manson Townsend and Berta Herring Townsend. She was a member of Forrest Chapel U.M.C and a homemaker. She was a longtime supporter of Hartselle High School Football and an avid Auburn Fan. She, her husband and children, traveled extensively while following his U.S. Air Force career. She was preceded in death by her husband: Vaughn Moore, one son: David Moore and her parents.
