Russell O’Neal, 81 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Monday, June 16, 2014, at his home.
Born Wednesday, January 18, 1933 in Ardmore, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James O’Neal and the late Annie Ruth Boggs O’Neal. He was a member of New Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking and genealogy. He was preceded in death by his wife: Dora Ellen O’Neal and a brother: Jerry O’Neal.
Surviving are son, Michael (Bonnie) O’Neal of Ardmore, TN, daughters, Peggy (Don)Franklin of Ardmore, TN and Connie Hodge of Delta, MO, brother, Perry O’Neal of Nashville, TN, seven grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Rev. Roger Berry officiating. Burial will be in Blanche Cemetery, Blanche, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to New Grove Baptist Church.
