Annual Cars and Bikes on the Square Car Show Donates Profits to Non-Profits

Athens_Car_and_Bike_Show2014-04-26_021-copy bikeATHENS-The Annual Cars and Bikes on the Square Car Show had beautiful weather for their April 26th 2014 event which translated into over 400 paid entries and over 200 who brought their cars and bikes for exhibition.  Each year the show promoter, Tom Schuman, donates the proceeds from the show to a worthy community non-profit. With the success of this year’s show he is able to donate to three non-profits; Athens-Limestone Community Association, Hospice of Limestone County and Limestone County Churches Involved (LCCI).

Mr. Schuman. Director Pat King accepted saying, “on behalf of the Hospice of Limestone County Board of Directors and Staff I would like to convey our sincere appreciation of the most generous gift form the Car Show.  In light of the current healthcare climate, the check will assist us with our indigent care.   Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.”

LCCI Board President, Tere Richardson accepted by saying, “on behalf of all the volunteers and board members of Limestone County Churches Involved and especially those families we assist with food and urgent assistance, thank you Mr. Schuman so very much for your donation to LCCI. Your generosity is a true example of Christ’s love at work in our lives”

 

The donation to Athens-Limestone Community Association will go toward the cost of publishing Holding the Fort,

The Cars and Bikes on the Square has donated over the past years several thousand dollars to assist our local non-profits. “This event also provides a large economic impact to our community as well as an enjoyable time for the exhibitors to show off their treasured possessions and for our visitors to share their memories of back when”, said Todd.
