Funeral for Carl Dotson, 66, of Trinity will be Friday, June 6, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenny Rogers officiating and Scott Coffey obituary reading. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Dotson, who died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center, was born April 28, 1948, in Lawrence County to Huett and Myrtle Dotson. He was retired from Kinder Morgan and was a member of Flower Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing with his grandkids. Mr. Dotson was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hubert Dotson, Herbert Dotson and James Dotson; and sisters, Evelyn Dotson and Huleen Hood.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah L. Dotson; two sons, Carlton and Shelania Dotson and Eric Dotson and fiancee’, Alicia Dotson; six grandchildren, Payton Dotson, Braden Dotson, Erissa Dotson, Taylor Lee Dotson, MacKenzie Little and Paisley Dotson; stepgrandchildren, Angie Hazle, Courtney Sparks and a whole host of children he and Sarah raised. Chasity Vincent and Joey Eskridge; brothers, John Wayne Dotson, Douglas Dotson, Earl Dotson and William Dotson; and sisters, Lorene Edwards and Ann Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Joey Eskridge, Jamie Cottingham, Adam Terry, John Nance, Johnny Dotson, Jessie Terry, Randy Dotson and Billy Proctor.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
