Mr. Charlie T. Wallace, age 83, passed away on Tuesday at his home near Lexington. He was born March 9, 1931 in Darden to the late Ernest and Patra Carrington Wallace. He was a retired Major in the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Cold War. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and enjoyed raising blueberries and blackberries. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Howard Wallace, his two sisters, Ernestine Renfroe and Evelyn Barr and two step-daughters, Tamara Lee Birchett and Sabrina Ann Gibson. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Patsy Mills Wallace; two sons, Thomas E. Wallace and William Lee Wallace; one step-daughter, Kaye Waugh; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 12 PM at Henderson County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to West Tennessee Healthcare Hospice. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements.
