Sam R. “Hoss” Thorn, 86, died Saturday, May 31, 2014. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi. The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Carter’s Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Tishomingo, Mississippi, with burial in Carter’s Branch Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service
