Kathryn June McFall Lee 80, of Sheffield, passed away May 27, 2014.
Visitation will be Thursday May 29, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services to begin Friday May 30, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel, burial to follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Brother Greg Beasley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Burr and Toye Young McFall, husband, Jack “Red” Lee, son, Trooper Kenneth A. “Kenny” Lee, brother, Eugene McFall and sister-in-law Marylene McFall.
Survivors include sons, Bobby Lee and Johnny Lee (Sara)
Daughter, Elaine Lee
Grandchild, Jamie Lee Fowlkes ( James “Bubba”)
Great-grandchildren Nathan, Matthew and Logan Fowlkes
Niece, Janette McFall
Friends of the Lee children were affectionly known as yard young’uns by Kathryn and Jack.
Alabama State Troopers will serve as pallbeares
Kathryn was born in Waterloo, AL July 13, 1933, she graduated from Lawrence Co. High School, Lawrenceburg, TN class of 1951.
She moved to Florence, AL to attend Larimore Business College where she earned her business degree. She married Jack “Red” Lee, December 10, 1955 at Spry Funeral Home on Jackson Highway, a marriage that started and ended in a funeral home in 1987, when Jack passed away.
Kathryn was a bookkeeper for many auto dealerships for 40+ years retiring from Jim Bishop Chevrolet. For eight years she served as office manager for Snooky Harriell Volkswagon., Decatur, AL, Mrs. Lee played piano for Peppers Quartet in Lawrenceburg, TN at the age of 15 and continued playing for the Valley IV and the Singing Servants Quartets for many years.
Her signature solo was “Roll on Jordon”, requested many times at every singing.
