Charles Randel McCain, 80, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 25, 2014. He was born April 16, 1933 in Ruleville to Lional and Constance McCain. He grew up in the cotton fields of the Mississippi Delta and knew the joy of hard labor. He graduated from Ruleville High School and attended Morehead College. He served in the United States Army during both the Korean War and the beginning of the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for the railroad and was the owner and operator of McCain Insulation Company. He retired from Bryan Foods in 1996, spending his retirement years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a lifelong follower of Christ.
Services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Adams and husband, Walter of Kissimmee, FL and Renate Anderson and husband, Michael of Southaven; one son, Duane McCain and wife, Helen of Austin, AR; a daughter-in-law Stacey McCain of Ocean Springs; three sisters-in-law, Stella McCain, Jean Woodard and Ruth Vickers; 14 grandchildren he adored, Melissa, Dana, Ami, Jerry Jr., Stephanie, Kathy, Sierra, Avery, Loretta, Michael Paul, Lecole, Lynae, Amber and Justin; 17 great-grandchildren and his beloved dog Bitty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, his wife, Myrtle McCain; one son Randy McCain; two brothers, Alton and Terry McCain.
Visitation will be 11 – 1 Wednesday.
