Jewel Brewer Lovelace, 91, a beloved wife, mother and granny, left her earthly home on May 20, 2014, following an extended illness. Her visitation will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 from noon until 2:00 pm and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel, Central Heights with Matt Buerhaus and Jerry Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
On May 3, 1942, she both graduated from Central High School and married Andrew Mason “Ponto” Lovelace. She was a faithful member of her ladies Sunday School Class at Central Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Lovelace, parents Emma and Wheeler Brewer, brothers T.B. and Lawrence Brewer and sister Flora Parrish.
Survivors include sons Jerry (Linda), Scotty (Mary Lou), Bobby and Lonnie Lovelace, daughters Judy Darby (Randy), Gail Burgess (Troy), Nina Hine (Franklin), Grandchildren Lisa Balentine (Randy), William Lovelace, Wesley Lovelace (Janice), Kirk Lovelace(Amy), Ezra Lovelace, April Simmons (Marc), Daniel Lovelace, Andy Eddins (Sabrina), Pam Kelley (Jason), Nancy Burgess, Wesley Lovelace and T.J. Lovelace. There were 25 great and great-great-grandchildren, sister Helen Murphy, nieces and nephews.
