Jose Luis Barturen, age 85, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Alive Hospice at Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Las Villas, Cuba; retired radio announcer from KGLA; and a former employee of Whitney Bank. Mr. Barturen was a member of Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he loved to sing in the choir and he had a wonderful voice. He was also a member of Cuban American National Foundation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Guillermina Zulueta Barturen; and one brother, Juan Barturen.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, May 23, 2014 at Neal Funeral Home with rosary service at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be conducted at Lawrenceburg Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 24, 2014, with Father Joseph Mundakal officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
