Jadie Kyle Letson departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2014, at ECM Hospital in Florence, Alabama. He was born in Lawrence County, Alabama, on June 22, 1938. He was retired from Yellow Freight and a member of Teamster Local 402. He attended Town Creek Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Parkway Funeral Home in Trinity. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Parkway Chapel, with burial in Moulton Memory Gardens. Brother Barry Phillips will officiate.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jadie and Clara Letson; sister, Edith Blaxton; brothers, Bishop Letson, Grady Letson, Hollis Letson, and Winford Letson; and the mother of his children, Lavern Letson.
Survivors include daughters, Melissa (Andy) Pitts and Teresa (Mike) Letson-Groves; son, Anthony (April) Letson; grandchildren, Ashley (Bryson) Thomas, Tiffany (Michael) Vick; Hadley Groves, and Kylie Jo Letson; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Zeke Davis, and Alice Vick; special friend and caretaker, Cynthia Bentley, and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Loyd Letson, Andy Letson, Bu Letson, Hadley Groves, Clark Letson and Michael Vick. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Thomas, Anthony Letson, Andy Pitt, Mike Groves, Jerry Letson and Jerry Letson, of Mississippi. Special thanks are extended to Brian Puttman, Trey Maddox, Terry Piker and Michele Newson at ECM Hospital.
